The gallery
NamiSonke — from nami (I) and sonke (together). We are a gallery of the collective self: a place where contemporary African practice is shown, debated, taught and lived.
We commit to slow looking, to fair play and pay; to a curatorial voice that centres the continent and its diaspora, and to programs that belong to our immediate neighbourhoods as much as to the international field.
Open call
NamiSonke Contemporary Art Gallery invites artists to submit work for the first edition of our monthly catalog. This is an open call for contemporary practice rooted in pan-African values — exhibitions, essays, experiments and forms still unnamed.
